This month....

July 2008

Good grief! They say time speeds up as you get older, so I must be getting on for a couple of hundred as I can't believe it's already July.

Well maybe I've got some excuse as I'm working ridiculously hard. The tap, tap, tap you can hear is not the local woodpecker - yes really, there was a baby one in the garden the other day doing all sorts of acrobatics - but me at my computer getting on with my book then doing lots of massage by way of light relief....

Anyway a chance to peek a look at Wimbledon occasionally although I can quite happily stare at the screen for ages without actually seeing a point! When it gets exciting I can sort of unglaze, but it's a bit like only watching the goals in a football match without all the bits in between. Still when Wimbledon's on all somehow seems right with the world.

In order to keep my brain ticking over I'm back into sprout production. I go through phases and haven't done this for a while. Live sprouts are full of nutrients, enzymes, antioxidants, minerals and vitamins - yum. I'm beginning with broccoli and lentils and they should be ready tomorrow. Then I'll go on to alfalfa which is apparently great for neutralising acids in the body. The health effects of over acidity is something I've been looking into recently so it'll be interesting to see if there is a notable difference.

The poor old goji berry plant has bitten the dust but has fortunately been replaced by the company with a lively little new one so I'm looking forward to seeing how it turns out. The blueberries are tantalisingly close to ripening and the olive and lemon trees have had masses of blossom which also looks promising. Life in London is getting quite exotic.

The sunshine is really welcome and hopefully I'll soon be getting some of it too. Important to moisturise the skin, drink plenty of water and alkalise the body with lovely fresh sprouts.

Until next month, tap, tap, tap.....
